About the "Author"
Author here is in quotes because I of course did not write, nor was I a contributing author to this IPCC AR5 WG1 Chapter 13. What I am, however, is a graduate student at the University of Colorado Boulder, and through the Institute for Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR) I am pursuing a PhD in the Geosciences with a concentration on Arctic Paleoclimates and Cryosphere-Climate interactions. The development of this site came about as part of a graduate course focused on reading, reviewing and critiquing AR5. The summary of the chapter is my own interpretation and the views and opinions presented here are entirely my own and do not necessarily represent the views or opinions of any of the authors of the chapter. That being said, this has been a fruitful and enlightening experience that I hope will provide a useful summary of a lengthy and somewhat technical document for other members of both the scientific community and the public.
This website benefited greatly from two reviews by fellow graduate student peers.
